Looking for a great new media player?

Most people are happy using Windows Media Player, but for those of you who are looking for a great light weight cross-platform media player with a little more flexibility, I have one to try.  I personally like VLC Media Player it's small (18MB), portable and easy to use. I use this on both my Windows and my Linux machines and have never had an issue.

One cool feature that I sometimes use is the importing of a video stream.  Often times, you will find that a video stream, such as the traffic cams in my city will timeout after a minute or two to conserve bandwidth. With VLC, you can locate the URL of the stream and import it into VLC and it will run all day long without a glitch. Also, once it's running on VLC you can open to full screen or re-size to whatever you want it to be. VLC plays just about any format available, so give it a try. VLC Media Player
