Welcome

I have decided to begin a blog about one of my favorite subjects, technology!  I am an average geek who enjoys learning new tricks and hacks, as well as teaching others how to get more use and enjoyment out of their computers.  As a geek, I sometimes take for granted how easily I can catch on when learning new things related to computers.

I really enjoy working on computers as well.  I also enjoy free and open-source software, not that I don't think that talented programmers shouldn't receive compensation for their hard work, it's just that I live on a tight budget and have a large family.
